Silicon Valley, CA – We are proud to announce that Reshma Nigam, CEO and Founder, Markable Solutions has been selected as the new President of Indians For Collective Action (ICA). The organization supports social development in India by affiliating with dedicated non-government organizations (NGOs) in India helping them with funding.
The new executive committee is headed by Ms. Reshma Nigam who took over from past co-Presidents, Mr. Abhay Bhushan and Mr. Bhupen Mehta, “I am honored and humbled to take on the role of President of such an esteemed organization and have an opportunity to work with a committed group of individuals,” said Ms. Nigam, the newly elected President. “This year is particularly momentous as ICA enters its golden jubilee year.” The organization was started 50 years ago by a group of Indo-Americans including Dr. P. Kumar Mehta and Mr. Mahendra Mehta who have channeled the organization at different times through the decades. ICA is poised to reinvent itself by becoming the charity of choice for all Indians living in the US by giving them an opportunity to select from carefully vetted Indian charities to fund and to volunteer. ICA funds charities in the areas of Education, Youth Empowerment, Women’s Leadership, Health and Environment.
Over the past few years, Reshma has had the gratifying opportunity of contributing to fundraisers, serving on the Dean’s advisory council at San Jose State University’s Lucas School of Business, helping high tech startups and participating in various community activities. Her exemplary experience in marketing will help ICA to achieve it’s noble mission. As a CEO and Founder of Markable Solutions, Ms. Nigam is focused in delivering high quality opportunity identification services to high tech clients and has quickly built an enviable list of clients. Ms. Nigam received an MBA in Communications from San Jose State University and also has degrees in English Literature and Journalism from India.
